Hey Basic is a skincare brand built on one simple idea: less guesswork, more results. With clean formulas and a clear message, Hey Basic takes the confusion out of skincare. No overpromises, no 15-step routines—just well-made essentials that do what they’re supposed to. The tone is honest, friendly, and refreshingly low-maintenance, just like the products.

Challenge

Skincare is overcrowded with jargon, trends, and shelf-cluttering products. The challenge was to help Hey Basic cut through the noise. The brand needed to feel modern but not sterile, simple but not boring. And most importantly, it had to earn trust without overwhelming the customer. In a space full of fluff and filters, clarity had to lead.

Approach

The design direction focused on structure and space—clean lines, smart typography, and a layout that lets the content breathe. The branding leans on black and white minimalism with soft accent colors to keep it warm and human. The voice is conversational and confident, helping users find what they need without second-guessing. The website was built to reflect that same clarity: intuitive navigation, clear product hierarchy, and a design system that keeps the user focused on what matters.
